Spanish Immersion Living Learning Community, or “SÍ” for Spanish Immersion, is intended for students majoring or minoring in Spanish and for students with a general interest in Spanish language or Hispanic culture. The focus of this experience is to provide you an opportunity to live and learn together in a residence hall community that commits to using only Spanish as the language of communication.
To participate, you must have at least an intermediate level of Spanish. As member of the community, you will take part in a program of enrichment activities meant to foster positive community and collaboration among group members and a better understanding of Hispanic culture around the world. During the second semester, you will take a 3-credit Spanish oral skills academic course with a strong service learning component.
If you are interested in participating, the first step is to complete a housing application on the Residence Life website, requesting to be placed in Moses Hall. Remember to apply within 30 days of your offer of admission to Texas A&M for priority consideration. Additionally, you must complete this application form. If you have any further questions, please direct them to Dr. Sarah Misemer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr. Irene Moyna (email@example.com).
