Brian Imhoff is Associate Professor of Spanish linguistics in the Department of Hispanic Studies at Texas A&M. He received his Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Professor Imhoff works primarily in Spanish historical and comparative Romance linguistics and philology, and in the edition and study of Colonial Spanish manuscripts. His scholarship has appeared in international journals, among them Hispanic Review, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, La corónica, Neuphilologische Mitteilungen, and Lexis. Professor Imhoff is editor of the Comparative Romance Linguistics Bibliographies (Research Center for Romance Studies, Berkeley), and bibliographer for Romanian linguistics with that publication. Professor Imhoff has created and directed study abroad programs in Mexico and Spain, and has taught Texas A&M classes in Castiglion Fiorentino (Italy).
