Cervantes Collection Added To Cushing Memorial Library and Archives
Dr. Eduardo Urbina's Cervantes Collection was recently added to the impressive collection of research archives at Cushing Memorial Library. The online Cervantes Project is "the definitive resource for the study of the life and works of Cervantes". The online collection was founded in 1995 and the book collection, developed in 2001, serves as the basis for study of the textual iconography of Don Quixote. The project received a National Endowment for the Humanities grant in 2006 in order to finance the digitization of editions and create the hyper textual archive. The Cervantes collection has gained over 1,200 volumes and 15,000 engravings, drawings, and vignettes since its launch in 2001. Visit the Celebrating Research website for more information. |
