Crisis Intervention Services for Students During

Spring Break 2009

Dates During Business Hours

(Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM)

 After Hours and on Weekends

Friday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 18, 2009
Send students to the Student Counseling Service in Cain Hall.
Send students to the nearest hospital emergency room or call MHMR at 822-6467.

Thursday, March 19 through Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM
Send students to the nearest hospital emergency room

or call MHMR at 822-6467.

The HelpLine re-opens at 2:00 PM and resumes its normal hours of operation of 4 PM to 8 AM weekdays and 24 hours-a-day weekends. Have students call the HelpLine at 845-2700.

Local sources of 24-hour crisis intervention services during the times the Student Counseling Service and/or the Student Counseling HelpLine are closed include:

The Physicians Centre Emergency Room 731-3180

The automated telephone announcements for both the Student Counseling Service (845-4427) and the Student Counseling HelpLine (845-2700) will give up-to-date instructions on accessing crisis intervention services.

If a student is experiencing an emergency (needs immediate medical or law enforcement assistance), call 9-911 from on campus and 911 from off campus.
