Dr. Sarah Misemer

Sarah M. Misemer is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University. She obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. Her interests include contemporary Hispanic Theater and Performance, with an emphasis on Argentine and Uruguayan drama. She is the author of Secular Saints: Performing Frida Kahlo, Carlos Gardel, Eva Perón, and Selena (Tamesis, 2008). Her other publications include articles on globalization, dictatorships and democracy, postmodernity, and performance as they relate to Hispanic Theater. Dr. Misemer is currently preparing a book on the images of trains and nostalgia in the River Plate.
